Life is short.
There are many sayings that celebrate the shortness of life. One is from George Santayana, in “War Shrines,” Soliloquies in England and Later Soliloquies, 1922 – “There is no cure for birth and death save to enjoy the interval”.
It is therefore a sad reminder to me when I saw the news today – about the death of the King of Johore – and that made me realised that the duration of life is indeed short.
